PT Transjakarta to Take Over APTB Management

The operational of Border Public Transport Integrated with TransJakarta Bus (APTB) will be erased due to Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki T Purnama seen irregularities in its trajectories procurement. Later, APTB management will be handed out to city-owned enterprise (BUMD) PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta).

Basuki said that Jakarta Transportation Department should have focused and concentrated on TransJakarta bus management only. Thus, he questioned why the department never add TransJakarta bus but create APTB trajectories instead.
“Yes, (APTB) will be erased. There was intention from Transportation Department, never buy TransJakarta bus and expand it (range), yet gave trajectory permit to APTB. In theory, there should be no APTB. The theory should be extending the range of TransJakarta bus. That is transportation theory,” he stated, Friday (8/15).

“Do you know that (PT) Transjakarta worked really hard to merge or change old bus trajectories to minimize traffic congestion? How could it suddenly changed and APTB created?” he expressed.
In the future, APTB management will be taken over by PT Transjakarta and its payment system equated with other TransJakarta bus operators, which is paid according to rupiah per meter.
Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, M Akbar, told that his department will no longer add APTB trajectory. As a matter of fact, his department is currently evaluating APTB existence.
“We’ll coordinate it fast. We hope to use TransJakarta bus system too,” he uttered.
